Marci Heiser is trained to make theatrical costumes, and specializes in historical, period, sometimes reenactment-accurate ensembles for men and women. It is also fun to make fantasy and cosplay outfits (if my machines can handle the materials!). She still does some bridal and other alterations and custom tailoring, if the schedule permits.
A pattern is not necessary, she can make her own as appropriate.
She looks forward to serving and collaborating with you!
Who is Marci Heiser?
Marci has a Master of Fine Arts in Costume Construction from University of North Carolina School of the Arts. In Colorado she has built costumes for Colorado Shakespeare Festival in Boulder, Arvada Center for the Performing Arts, Opera Colorado, Ballet Nouveau Colorado (now Colorado Conservatory of Dance) in Broomfield, Central City Opera, and Red Rocks Community College where she taught costume design classes. She has also worked on alterations at David's Bridal and Priscilla of Boston.
She is a member of the Victorian Society of Colorado, and of Days Gone Bye, a social club that just dresses Victorian (or other choice) just for fun and goes to teas, historical events, antique malls, etc. She also presents and narrates historical fashion shows with your members modeling her outfits from two centuries of fashion! "Tea, anyone?!"
